Solange Wechsler
SOLANGE MUGLIA WECHSLER is a psychologist, president of the Brazilian Creativity and Innovation Association (Criabrasilis). She did her doctorate at the University of Georgia (USA) with the guidance of the historical specialist in creativity, Paul Torrance, and her post-doctorate studies at the University of Buffalo. She has received several honorary titles and distinctions, such as “Creative Scholar” of the United States, “Arts and Sciences Outstanding Person”, in Venezuela, “Special Merit Award in Educational Psychology” in Brazil, “Distinction in International Psychology”, from the American Psychological Association and more recently “Honourable Mention in Psychological Evaluation”, for her contributions in the founding and presidency of various scientific associations. She has worked as an invited professor in several countries. Her large variety of publications includes books, articles and intelligence and creativity tests, such as the books “Creatividad: descubriendo y estimulando” (Creativity: discovering and stimulating), “De la creatividad hasta la innovación” (From creativity to innovation) or the test “Estilos de pensar y crear” (Styles of thinking and creating). She is currently teaching at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, where she coordinates the Evaluation and Psychological Measures Laboratory.
