Alfonso Vázquez Atochero is a secondary school teacher and has been an associate lecturer at the University of Extremadura. He graduated in Anthropology and has a Masters in strategic and innovative management, getting his diploma of advanced studies with research into the online identities of young people, through virtual communities, which was published by the Universidat Ouverta de Catalunya. He was a finalist at the Spanish Internet Awards 2009 (http://www.premiosdeinternet.org) for this work. He did his doctoral thesis analysing the effect of the digital gap among young people and belongs to the ontological anthropology research group of the UEX. His publications include “Ciberantropología: sociedad 2.0″ (Cyber-anthropology: society 2.0 – UOC 2008) and “Enredando, una aproximación a la comunidades virtuales. Etnografía virtual 2.0” (Entangling: an approach to virtual communities. Virtual Ethnography 2.0 – Abecedario 2008) as well as articles in various publications (www.alfonsovazquez.com).
