Manuela Romo

The doctor Manuela Romo is a professor in the Psychology Faculty from the Autonomous University of Madrid and an expert in creativity Psychology. She is the author of the book entitled “Psicología de la Creatividad” (Paidós, 1997)(Psychology of creativity), the co-author of “Creatividad y Curriculum Universitario”  (Ediciones UAM, 2001) (creativity and university curriculum) and “La Creatividad: un bien cultural de la humanidad” (Trillas, 2008) (Creativity: a cultural value of humanity) Her work has been based on her research on this topic throughout her scientific career, by publishing several essays and research papers that nowadays amount to 30 published articles,  4 books and 8 chapters in books from other authors. She is a member of the Editorial committee of 3 scientific magazines.

She has done conferences and seminars in several centres in Spain, Europe and South America. In 2000 she organized the first State meeting of university teachers and researchers about Creativity, and joining in the organization of 5 international congresses.

She is the coordinator of the Interuniversity PhD on applied Creativity in the Autonomous University of Madrid.

With her biography done in 2006 edition of Who´s Who in Science and Technology and in the 2008 edition of Who´s Who in The world; she is also famous for being the International Scientist of the Year 2007 by the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge.
