Juan Garibi
I am an economy Lawyer by Deusto University. After beginning my professional career in a multinational company of financing audit, I started to work in the social sector that I was voluntarily linked to up to then: I worked first in Bultz-Lan Consulting, an advisory firm for social companies, cooperatives, foundations, and for the empowerment and starting-up of new companies preferably created by unemployed people. Then, I became a representative of Bilbao Caritas, an entity that I have always been linked to and I am still linked to it, then I joined in the creation of the foundation for Investment and Responsible saving (called FIARE). One of their most important results is the implementation of the ethic bank project of FIARE, where I’m currently working as a development manager. I collaborate with some social entities, so more officially I belong to the managing board of Elkarcredit, an association devoted to micro-financing in South American countries and I am a collaborative partner in several initiatives : Oikocredit, a Dutch cooperative devoted to microcredit in the South, IUNA, a Valencia holding of Social companies and IDEAS, Andalusia cooperative for fair trade. I also voluntarily collaborate with Communication means, “Radio Popular”, in a topical analysis programme and in basketball programming, another passion of mine.
