Professor of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising at the Faculty of Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid. Professor of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Narrative, Methods of Creativity and Audiovisual Poetics.
Expert on Creativity and Imagination in children, the subject of his doctoral thesis and several publications. Director of the National Centre for Information and Communication of the Ministry of Education and Science (2000-2004). President of the Ibero-American Educational Television Association (ATEI).
Vice-president of ASOCREA.  Editor of the Digital Magazines www.creatividadysociedad.com; www.Icono14.es . Director of the Research Group of the Complutense University, SOCMEDIA. Lead Researcher (IP) of the I+D Project of the Ministry of Education, “La Construcción social de la realidad de los Nativos Digitales a través de los contenidos y servicios abiertos en la Web 2.0″ (The social construction of the reality of digital natives through Web 2.0 open contents and services). His latest publications concerning creativity are the co-authorship of the book “Las Palabras en la Publicidad”  (Words in Advertising) (Laberinto, 2009) and the article “Una retórica de la Publicidad : de la Naturaleza inventiva  a la verdad metáforica” (A Rhetoric of Advertising: from inventive nature to metaphorical truth) in the Magazine Pensar la Publicidad (2007).
