Founded in 1999, Coloco is a group made up of two architects – Pablo Georgieff and Nicolas Bonnenfant – and one landscape gardener, Miguel Georgieff. Exploring the urban diversity, the group reconsiders the landscapes and architectures of the world of compact cities. Twice prize-winner of the programme « l’envers des villes », Coloco has carried out research into abandoned structures as new sites of urbanization since 2001 and since 2002 has worked on “aerial gardens” and “spontaneous gardens” in crowded city neighbourhoods. They regularly introduce an artistic dimension into their project planning, as, for example, for the creation of the evolutionary and participatory garden of the two English-style patios in street 104 in Paris, or for the project MomentoMonumento in Sao Paulo (Brazil). They propose a ” lasting hedonism” from the human material of towns and cities.
